Fresh Elements Pokhara: High Class Eating at Lakeside

My partner and I arrived at Fresh Elements in Pokhara for late lunch with gloomy clouds over our heads. The place wasn’t too busy; however, it was buzzing with a few guests. A botanical paradise and lively – all wood and painted brick walls, it looked like the perfect place to tuck in for a weekend brunch. Spread over two floors and spacious seating, plant lovers feel at home in this bustling restaurant and bar. Fresh Elements in Pokhara is immersed in greenery and serves a range of tasty lunch and dinner brunch menu items.

It’s an all-day lounge and restaurant that serves various dishes such as wood-fired pizza, spaghetti, soups, and Chinese dishes. Fresh Elements also has a bar attached to it known as the Longest Bar, as well as a club in the back called Club 16.

Though large, the restaurant is cozy and very welcoming. The decor also compliments the friendly attitude of the staff, who are always smiling and ready to help. The restaurant is adorned with clever lighting, wooden interiors, and potted plants hanging from the ceiling all help give this place a stylish, relaxed and uplifting feel.

Eating at Fresh Elements and the Longest Bar

Fresh Elements Pokhara: Consistency in Taste and Service

By far, one of the best restaurants in Pokhara has to be Fresh Elements! Praised for its consistent taste and service, we ordered the usual classic bruschetta for starters. The toasted bread had a buttery garlic base topped with marinated tomatoes, parmesan cheese, balsamic vinegar, and fresh basil. The bruschetta had a delicate garlicky note to it and consisted of a zesty and fresh bite of juicy tomatoes, cheese, and vinegar.

The Longest Bar which is connected to the main restaurant by a small indoor bridge, also never disappoints. From the mouth puckering lemonades, to their strong cocktails, you will find yourself never being upset about the quality of their drinks.

The Best Mexican Food in Pokhara!

  • Basil Pesto Pasta Pokhara
  • Pineapple Lemonade at Lakeside

For our mains, we ordered basil pasta and chicken burritos. Fresh elements serve one of the best burritos in Pokhara (I highly recommend Fresh Elements for anyone looking for Mexican food in Pokhara – as they also have delicious veg and non-veg nachos)! I mean, who doesn’t crave a big tortilla curled tightly around some meat, fresh veggies, and sour cream alongside a fresh side salad, chips, and salsa?

The toasted tortilla is wrapped with chicken, pinto beans, rice, and melted cheese, making a complete dish that hits savory, cheesy, and tangy notes on your taste buds. The dish comes with a small bowl of sour cream, beans, salsa, tortilla chips, and fresh salad.

Our final mains were basil pesto pasta and pineapple lemonade (our favorite drink!). The pasta is fragrant with basil and covered with glossy and vibrant pesto sauce topped with parmesan cheese. Fresh and zingy, the pasta was well-balanced, and the sauce was not too overpowering.

Everything about the place is marvelously paired as it brings together good food, ambiance, and people. Fresh Elements makes sure that all the food they serve exceeds your expectations. We truly enjoyed all the food we ordered, and their seating areas also brought a nice and comforting ambiance to the restaurant. The restaurant is very inviting, and it feels like you’re in a botanical garden.

The Longest Bar in Pokhara: Built for Class and Fine Dining

Their bar, known as “The Longest Bar,” is the longest bar in all of Nepal and serves a range of liquors from the most expensive brands to local brands. We were mesmerized by the illuminated bar perfectly lined with beautiful bottles of whisky, wine, and tequila, ready to be shaken into mocktails or cocktails.

Visiting Nepal’s longest bar is like walking into a different country. With sparkling glasses and calming music in the background (usually live music!), conversations take place. The mixologists behind the bar create both cutting-edge concoctions and time-tested classic cocktails that are to die for.

The Longest Bar is a low-key but high-vibe bar in the center of Pokhara that welcomes everyone as they are. While enjoying a drink you can enjoy a wide variety of traditional comfort foods from Fresh Elements to go with the exquisite wines, craft brews, fresh juices, fruit smoothies, and sophisticated cocktails. They even have a bottle of alcohol with a price tag of USD 10,000!

The Longest Bar exudes a laid-back, welcoming vibe day and night. I highly recommend enjoying the ambiance of the bar while visiting the restaurant in general! No matter where you sit you will be able to indulge in the drinks and food from both locations!
